PrayerBits for Wednesday

PrayerBits

A bite sized devotional program
produced by the West Side Presbyterian Church

Wednesday

Scripture lesson: Hosea 6:4-6

Time to reflect: How constant is your faithfulness? Is it like the morning mist or dew?

Moving through the day: Pledge yourself for the day to stop each hour through the day to say a quick prayer to God.

Scripture:

"What can I do with you, Ephraim?
       What can I do with you, Judah?
       Your love is like the morning mist,
       like the early dew that disappears.

  Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets,
       I killed you with the words of my mouth;
       my judgments flashed like lightning upon you.

  For I desire mercy, not sacrifice,
       and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
