PrayerBits for Wednesday

PrayerBits

Romans 12:1-3 Transformed

Scripture lesson:

This is another cram packed set of verses that would take a week of PrayerBits to unpack. But to focus on the hardest practical concept: we are not to be conformed to this world. We are not even aware of how and when we are conforming unless we are transformed in mind to discern the will of God. This takes, prayer and Bible Study, practice and patience.

Time to reflect: In prayer review your day and consider when you are conforming to the world in an unacceptable fashion (some instances of conforming do not matter, and some are against the will of God).

Scripture:

Romans 12:1-3

The New Life in Christ

12I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters,* by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual* worship. 2Do not be conformed to this world,* but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.*

3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgement, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
